Once a lobbyist cornered me - my back to the bar - while we were out after a reception. I reached out to the nearest person on the closest bar stool who saw my expression and immediately said "hey cut it out" and shooed him away.

That's the “realest” instance, but we all know the looks, and comments and situations that happen daily. I wanted to believe that it doesn't actually happen and "XYZ is just being friendly", or "Don't flatter yourself. It was just a conversation," among other things.
