I’ve witnessed other men refer to women with terms that diminish their value so that they are merely “sweet treats” for men’s amusement.

Names like “sweetie,” “cookie,” and “sugar” may not be as sexually crude as other words but they promote a sexist culture.

I know my own wife gets harassed on the street and “surprises” some men when her intelligence is demonstrated. Women must not be relegated into a second class because men are unable to control their own behavior.
